This kit replaces your factory tailgate latch mechanism with more modern latches for smoother and easier operation. The kit comes with everything you need, and the parts now come coated in a zinc finish!
Some trimming is required on the tailgate itself. You will also need to drill a hole in the tailgate jamb to install the provided rivnut, and lastly a hole in the bedside jamb for the striker mount. A template is provided for the trimming, and the brackets mount to existing holes to locate the needed additional holes. Overall, this is a very simple install!
