Finally, a rear disc brake conversion that doesn't break the bank. Installation is simple, requires no welding, and it's not necessary to pull out the axle shafts. All serviceable parts are also available individually. This kit is compatible with GM 1988-1999 pickups and 1992-2000 SUV's with heavy duty 5 lug rear ends (11" drum axles).

Even if your model is listed below, if it is not the 11" drum size, then the kit will not fit.

Verify your flange dimensions with the images below. This can be done without removing anything simply by measuring the flange at the back side of the drum.

Even if it is listed above, if it is not the 11" drum size, then the kit will not fit.

Note: will fit inside many *but not all* 15 inch wheels. Typically if the caliper contacts inside of the wheel, clearance can be gained by light sanding of caliper contact points.

1997 GMC Savana 1500

Installation is fairly straight forward.

The biggest problem I had was getting the OEM hard line turned and bent to meet up with the flex line. See picture #5 of instructions. The OEM hard line will need to be bent 90° to meet the flex line attachment point. This was done with a tubing bender and some minor hand adjustments, after which I ensured no contact between the hard line and differential housing.

Rerouting of both sides of emergency / parking brake cables is needed.

I found no need to upgrade the master cylinder or proportioning valve as the van stops without any brake fad or soft / mushy pedal.

I am disgusted with the cost to return your Product. $182.00 I thought if your return center was closer than Arizona it would have been a lot cheaper. What happened to Free return Delivery?

Unfortunately we don't have control over what shipping companies charge to ship, nor do we get credited back from shipping companies when customers return orders. We never have or never claimed free returns since we opened 10 years ago.
